Hidden Secrets a Funny Movie - M. Pannecoucke
Hidden Secrets is a film about life, love, friendship and forgiveness. And in spite of it's serious aspects, it is a funny movie for many to enjoy.

Hidden Secrets, created in 2006 by Pure Flix Entertainment, is an inspirational film that brings to light serious situations, but in a manner that makes an audience laugh. Starring David A. R. White, Tracy Melchior, John Schneider, Corin Nemec and Staci Keenan, Hidden Secrets gives an uplifting story of how friends can bring out the best in each other.

A Story of Untold Secrets

When Sherry Hadyn’s brother, Chris, dies unexpectedly, Sherry (Tracy Melchior) is left almost alone running a bed and breakfast out of her parent’s house. Chris’ long time best friend, Jeremy (David A. R. White), comes back to his hometown for the funeral, his almost fiancée, Rachel (Staci Keenan), in tow, reminding both himself and Sherry of the past they have together.

The death of Sherry’s brother brings her together with past boyfriend, Jeremy, and his group of friends that once had a band together, along with Chris’ skeptical co-worker, Gary (John Schneider). When these characters end up spending the weekend at Sherry’s bed and breakfast, the men decide to do her a favour and fix up the roof. As the roof renovations commence, the weekend turns out to be a weekend of change for all of them.

Love, Loss and Life

A movie about second chances at life and love, Hidden Secrets gives a story of people brought together by one tragic event. And through the death of a brother and good friend, nine friends find that they can learn a lesson from the loss. The story shows how one can influence those around him, even in death. Because by his death, Sherry’s brother, Chris, has brought friends back to their close friendship and their church.

Although the story of Hidden Secrets stems from loss, it is not a tear-jerking story. It may have some tear inducing moments, but the film is a good comedy. Hidden Secrets makes light of serious situations by showing how friends and family can help each other live through loss and learn to forgive.

Forgiveness is a prominent theme throughout the movie, and it is not only about learning to forgive others, but about learning to forgive oneself. The forgiveness theme of the film also sends the message that no sin is too great for God to forgive.

Hidden Secrets is a movie that so many can enjoy. It is a movie with good lesson and a good deal of humour throughout. It is a funny film that can connect with the audience and has something to which many can relate.
